The IT Department consists of two branches of support, the core IT staff, and the GIS Department.
The core IT staff members are responsible for the personal computer systems throughout the Board of County Commissioners.
The IT Department has a mission with four objectives:
- Protection: We will protect the county
department from loss of data and unnecessary
downtime caused by hardware and software failures.
We will ensure that sensitive county data
are secure from unauthorized access.
- Support: We will provide users of
county computers with assistance they need
to perform their jobs in a timely, helpful
manner. We will encourage the use of new technology
and tools to enhance productivity and other
county goals, and we will help users develop
their own technical knowledge.
- Performance: We will strive to improve
our performance and efficiency of computer
operations as well as manual information systems
through further automation and improved procedures
and technology.
- Strategic planning: We will strive
to uncover new ways to use existing hardware,
software, data and personnel to achieve the
strategic goals of our county, which are:
- Improve customer satisfaction
