Property Appraiser and Tax Collector Renovation Project

On November 25, 2008 the Board of County Commissioners awarded the contract to Architecture Studio, Inc. serving as the architect and Mark Cook Builders serving as the General Contractor. The project consisted of renovation to an existing county building that once housed the Supervisor of Elections Office. The building structure, consisting of 8,200 square feet, was remodeled with an additional 4,775 square feet being constructed. The total budget for the project was $822,569. Project costs totaled $806,783. The construction began in December of 2008 and was completed in July of 2009. Citizens will now be able to pay property taxes, obtain drivers licenses, and renew or purchase vehicle tags in one convenient location.
