Responsibilities
  • Promote uniform procurement practices within the County
  • Provide accountability for the Board's purchasing activities
  • Provide transparency in the bid award process
  • Realize efficiencies, cost savings, and opportunities for the County that will demonstrate good stewardship of taxpayer money
  • Eliminate duplication of services within various departments under the Board

 In addition to these responsibilities, the Department oversees:

  • Bid and award process
  • Purchase order workflow
  • Purchasing card oversight
  • Fleet card oversight
  • Contract management
