Responsibilities
- Promote uniform procurement practices within the County
- Provide accountability for the Board's purchasing activities
- Provide transparency in the bid award process
- Realize efficiencies, cost savings, and opportunities for the County that will demonstrate good stewardship of taxpayer money
- Eliminate duplication of services within various departments under the Board
In addition to these responsibilities, the Department oversees:
- Bid and award process
- Purchase order workflow
- Purchasing card oversight
- Fleet card oversight
- Contract management
