Effective October 1, 2011, the Bushnell location's new hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. -  4:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
The Planning Department's main responsibilities are implementing the Sumter County Comprehensive Plan and providing long-range planning and coordination for Sumter County.

Additional Duties
The Planning Department also handles:
  • Intergovernmental coordination for land planning
  • Concurrency determinations
  • Population and demographics
  • Floodplain management
