The groundbreaking for the Panasoffkee Community Library construction project is scheduled for Tuesday, February 12, at 3:30 p.m. at 1500 CR 459, Lake Panasoffkee. A project of the Board of Sumter County Commissioners with Mark Cook Builders of Leesburg, FL, the expansion/renovation of the library is funded in part by the 2007 Florida Legislature through the Florida Department of State. The project will add 1,200 sq. ft. to the current 2,080 sq. ft. facility and will include renovation of the existing space. The public is invited to attend the Groundbreaking ceremony.
