To search for books within the entire Sumter County Public Library System go to www.sumterpubliclibrary.org. You may search the catalog without logging in; however, to place holds and use other personalized features you must log in by entering your ID number and PIN number. (To find your ID number look on the back of your library card. It should begin with the number "20419-----------".)

Requesting a Pin Number
If you have received a library card with a "20419XXXXXX" number but are not sure what your PIN number is then you have two methods of receiving your PIN number. You may call your local library or you may e-mail Kelli.Barnes@sumterpubliclibrary.org to request your PIN number. Please include your First and Last name, library card number, and state that you are requesting your PIN number.

Changing Your Pin Number
You may change your PIN number by going to www.sumterpubliclibrary.org. Click on "My Account" and "User PIN Change." You will be asked to enter your library card number (on the back of your library card), your existing PIN number, and what you want your new PIN number to be.

The following charges are in effect for those persons wishing to use the library fax machines:

• $1.00 per page faxed to a local phone number.
• $2.00 per page faxed to a long distance number.
• $1.00 for the first page of an incoming fax received at the library, .50 for each subsequent page received.
