Florida Boater Improvement Program Grant for Lake Okahumpka Park Boat Ramp

In March 2005, Sumter County was awarded $140,000 from the FFWCC’s (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission) FBIP Grant Program for the construction of a new double boat ramp with a center ADA Accessible Floating Dock. With the county matching $10,000 in administrative costs and in-kind services and an additional $50,000 from Local Boater Improvement Funds, the total cost of this project is estimated at $200,000.
