Facility Usage

Read the Facility Usage Agreement

Complete and Print the Facility Usage Application, which can be sent (along with appropriate rental fees) to:

Rental Fees should be made payable to Sumter County BOCC

If you are requesting the use of a facility that does not require a rental fee or deposit, you may fax the completed application to 352-793-5693 . If a fee is required, you must send the application along with applicable fees using regular mail.

Funds from Winn Dixie Foundation to help fund SummerScape 2008

The Parks and Recreation Department of the Community Services Division of Sumter County received a $25,000 donation from the Winn Dixie Foundation as part of a five-city “Better Holidays…Better Communities” tour. These funds will be used for Summerscape 2008 (June and July) which will provide several weeks of fun and fitness, summer excitement, sports, field trips, outdoor adventure, drama and more for teens at Lake Panasoffkee Recreation Park and Royal Park.  More details coming late January 2008.

Patriotic Tribute placed at Okahumpka Park

In March, 2007, Girl Scout Troop #96, under the leadership of Troop Leader Debi Vance, placed an American Flag made of brick art and adorned with a Red Bud tree at Lake Okahumpka Park.  Thank you to the girl scouts for a beautiful community project.  Park goers will enjoy this patriotic tribute to our country for many years to come.
