[ARCHIVED] Coleman Landing Ribbon Cutting

The Boat Ramp at Coleman Landing has been closed for a number of years and in need of various upgrades. The Coleman Landing site was used as a staging area for equipment during the restoration of Lake Panasoffkee.

Coleman Landing will be re-opened to the public on April 27th and will feature a new boat ramp and access dock that was constructed by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC) in conjunction with the Sumter County Parks and Recreation Department and Road and Bridge Department. Federal Funding from the Sport Fishing Restoration Act was used for the project along with funding from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.

The park will be open 24 hours a day and will be lighted from dusk to dawn and include 24 hour surveillance. Please join us for the ribbon cutting and stop by the park and enjoy the only county boat ramp on beautiful Lake Panasoffkee.

The ceremony will be held at the end of West Warm Springs Avenue in Coleman.
