[ARCHIVED] Amnesty Week/Food For Fines, December 5th - 10th at all Sumter County Libraries

Do you have overdue library materials sitting around? Too many fines on your account? Now is your chance! Take advantage of the Sumter County Library System’s Amnesty Week and Food for Fines Program!

Between December 5th and December 10th, the Sumter County Library System will be holding an Amnesty Week and a Food for Fines Program. Every overdue item you return during this time frame will not be charged an overdue fine. This is a great time to look for all those “misplaced” library items and get them back to the library.

For those patrons with existing fines, bring in a non-perishable food item and have $1.00 in fines removed from your account, up to a maximum of $10.00 per patron. Only previously existing library fines will be eligible. No fines, no problem! Food donations are welcome even if no fines are owed.

Items must be returned at the circulation desk in order to qualify. Items returned at a book drop will not be eligible. All food items collected will be donated to local food banks. Help the library recover materials and help families in need!

For more information, contact your local Sumter County Library.
