Sumter County Phase 1 Re-opening of County Offices

In support of the Phase 1 re-opening as outlined by Governor DeSantis, Sumter County will begin the opening of certain in-person services starting Monday, May 4, 2020, while others will remain limited or closed through May 31, 2020. For our customers visiting our service locations, please follow the CDC guidelines for your protection. Sumter County provided additional cleaning of the locations being opened and our janitorial staff will continue to provide the additional surface cleaning throughout the day.

Effective Monday, May 4, 2020:

The Villages Sumter County Service Center and Pinellas Branch Library located at 7375 Powell Road, Wildwood, FL 34785 will be open to the public.

The Supervisor of Elections will resume providing in-person services.

The Sumter County planning, development review, and building services will resume providing in-person services. On-line permitting activities are available at https://etrakit.sumtercountyfl.gov/etrakit3/.

The Tax Collector will continue to provide service to the public via the drive-through at this location. For more information about the services of the Tax Collector please visit https://www.sumtertaxcollector.com/ or call 352-569-6740.

The Sumter County Office of the Small Business Development Center will be open by appointment only. For more information call 352-689-4449.

The Veteran Service Offices will remain closed for in-person services through May 31, 2020 and are available to answer questions for our veterans and their families by calling 352-689-4400.

The Property Appraiser’s Office at this location will remain closed for in-person services through May 31, 2020. For more information about the services of the Property Appraiser, please visit http://www.sumterpa.com/ or call 352-569-6800.

The Villages Annex located at the corner of C-466 and Morse Boulevard will be closed to the public through May 31, 2020 for the services of the Tax Collector, Property Appraiser, and the Clerk of the Courts.

The Clerk of the Courts will provide in-person services at the main office at 215 E McCollum Ave Bushnell, FL 33513. For more information about the services of the Clerk of the Courts please visit https://www.sumterclerk.com/ or call 352-569-6600.

The Tax Collector will have a drop box outside the doors for customers to deposit their title work and payment of taxes. For more information about the services of the Tax Collector please visit https://www.sumtertaxcollector.com/ or call 352-569-6740.

The Bushnell Tax Collector Office located at 220 E. McCollum Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513 will remain closed to the public but will continue to provide service to the public via the drive-through at this location. The Bushnell Property Appraiser Office located at 218 E McCollum Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513 will remain closed to the public but will continue to provide service by appointment only. The Bushnell Supervisor of Elections Office located at 316 E. Anderson Avenue, Bushnell FL 33513 will remain open to serve the public.

The Bushnell Office for Sumter County’s Public Works, Planning, Development Review, Building, and Housing services located at 319 E. Anderson Ave, Bushnell FL 33513 will remain open to serve the public.

The UF/IFAS Florida Extension Service (UF/IFAS) located 7620 SR 471, Bushnell, FL 33513 will be closed to the public through May 31, 2020. For more information about these services, please visit https://sfyl.ifas.ufl.edu/sumter/

Overdue fees will be waived through May 31, 2020

Library Cards may be renewed over the phone

Sumter County residents may apply for a new card online
